Home Crisis Issues Seize the Day
For most people, the holiday season is a time of joy and excitement; however, there are others who struggle with the holidays and find this time to be one of sorrow and depression.

For those who feel holiday challenged, let me encourage you to carpe diem. Carpe Diem literally translated means: Seize the Day. In other words, determine what you want this day to be.

Every morning we open our eyes, we must determine what we will make of the day. It's up to us to decide what our outlook will be. We can either face a new day with dread and uncertainty, or we can determine to Carpe Diem (seize the day) and attempt to get the most out of it.

Questions and Answers:

Q. How can I approach a day in a positive fashion?
A. Start your day with the Serentiy Prayer.

I like the Serenity Prayer because it's shallow enough to wade in, but deep enough to swim in. The more you pray this simple prayer, the bigger (wider and deeper) it becomes in your life.

Q. How can I focus on seeing a new day in a positive light?
A. Recognize the day and time you have is a God given gift. You get to choose what you will do with it, so why not choose to dedicate it unto the Lord.

Remember, today is the first day of the rest of your life. How do you want to honor God with it?
